No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS)

What is No Interest Loan Scheme? 

The No Interest Loan Scheme provides interest–free loans for eligible persons living on a low income, which may not otherwise be available to them. 

  • A community based program that enables access to fair, safe and equitable credit for the purchase of new basic and essential household items
  • It is also available for some medical and education need that are considered essential for the well-being of the applicant or their family. 
  • In certain cases, the loan can also be used for repairs to essential household equipment . These repairs must be carried out by BNC NILS approved repairers.
